Welcome to 2020!

I hope you’ve had a great start to this New Year! I have a question for you:

What’s your vision for this fresh new year and this new decade?

God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. – Ephesians 3:20

And then God answered: “Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time. — Habakkuk 2:2

I want to encourage you this year to dare to dream, for the year ahead and beyond. Have faith. Faith requires imagination. Don’t pray from a place of limitation or your own ability – but rather know that God has infinite power and that your own limitations are just as important as your gifts are in His plan to bring about your destiny. His strength is made perfect in our weaknesses. So think BIG, beyond what you see, and dare to dream!

Where do you want to be this time next year in your spiritual walk, serving, finances, career, relationships, home, fitness and health? What’s your home going to be like? How much weight will you have lost, if that’s a goal? What will your workout schedule be? Where will your savings and finances be? Will you be even closer to God than before?

Take your dreams and surrender them to God. God is so very concerned about us. Take a look at this from Romans 8:28-32:

And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.

For those whom He foreknew [and loved and chose beforehand], He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son [and ultimately share in His complete sanctification], so that He would be the firstborn [the most beloved and honored] among many believers. And those whom He predestined, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified [declared free of the guilt of sin]; and those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity].

What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us? He who did not spare [even] His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?

How encouraging is that? Knowing that the all-powerful God not only is for us but has our best interests – our growth, development and dreams at heart. What an encouragement for the start of a brand new year and decade!

For me, 2020 is dedicated to the pursuit of calling; to discipline and determination; to throwing all my energy into serving, my fitness, my walk with God; and to using my gifts to bless others. Carving out a clear vision for my life. This time next year I’d like to have a clearer sense of my UNIQUE God-given calling, and to be walking in it. 🤩

I’ve set myself some goals and challenges relating to my fitness, my serving and my finances, and I am so determined to achieve them! For example, if you’re on my Instagram you’ll know I’ve set myself the goal of running 5K every day. It’s been 9 days so far and I’m already feeling the benefits! 😍

I’m praying that this year is a year of fulfilled dreams and goals for all of us. Next month, I’ll be sharing Bible Plans that can help you as you walk through 2020, so that you can get on track with reading the Word.

This year, dare to dream big. Surrender the dreams to God, take the necessary action, and stay focused. It’s incredible what faith and determination coupled with God’s infinite power can do.

With best wishes for 2020!

See you in February,
